A Hull man is facing 63 felony charges following a child exploitation investigation conducted by the Sioux County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to Sioux County court records, 30-year-old Evan Daniel Marra of Hull was arrested on Thursday, May 14, 2026, and booked into the Sioux County Jail. He faces a total of 59 Class D felony counts and 4 Class B felony counts connected to alleged child sexual abuse material and the alleged exploitation of minors.
The investigation began in April 2026 after the Sioux County Sheriff's Office ICAC investigator received CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding alleged child sexual abuse material being uploaded within Sioux County. Investigators subsequently obtained search warrants for electronic storage devices allegedly operated by Marra.
According to the criminal complaints, investigators determined Marra allegedly possessed and uploaded multiple files containing child sexual abuse material involving victims estimated to be between 5 and 15 years old. Court records also allege investigators found Marra had taken visual depictions of two local minor victims and edited the images to make them appear to depict unlawful sex acts.
The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between January and March of 2026. Under Iowa law, a Class B felony is punishable by up to 25 years in prison per count, while a Class D felony carries a possible sentence of up to five years per count. If convicted on all charges and sentenced consecutively, Marra could face a maximum possible prison sentence of 395 years.
No initial appearance or preliminary hearing date was immediately available in court records as of Friday afternoon.
